Less of a camping trip, more of a day trip.
I hope that I never have to do anything with this page, but if the current Troubles in WordPress keep going, it may be necessary to fork (for lack of a better term) the concept of WordCamps, so that we can continue to host open and inclusive events.
I don’t want to do this. I’ve helped organize both local WordCamp events, and a couple of the flagship WordCamp US events. It’s a lot of work. Being a sort of meta-organizer for a lot of camps sounds like even MORE work. And as a programmer, laziness is one of my key virtues.
But if there’s no way for people to attend WordCamp events without submitting to Matt’s loyalty tests, I may have no choice.
